SUMMERSTAGE for performers who have completed Grades K–1
The perfect first step into the world of theater and imagination! SummerStage for performers who have completed Kindergarten and First Grade introduces our youngest performers to the joy of storytelling, teamwork, and creative expression through play-based learning led by Kidstock!’s team of theater professionals and educators.
Each week features two beloved storybooks that are merged together over the course of the program to inspire a brand-new, student-created adventure. Students first explore each author’s story up to its moment of conflict — then use their own ideas and imaginations to act out unique solutions and self-authored endings. The possibilities are endless as young actors take ownership of their stories and learn that every creative choice has value!
During this explorative process, children play multiple roles from the storybooks, developing empathy and understanding as they bring different characters to life. Through guided activities in drama, dance, art, and music, students strengthen teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills while experiencing the magic of collaborative creation.
Each week concludes with a joyful, one-of-a-kind presentation that celebrates the power of imagination — because at Kidstock!, every story ends happily and creatively ever after.
(Flexible single-day registration is available on select weeks; please note, single-day weeks will not include a final presentation.)
