SUMMERSTAGE for performers having completed Grades 2-3
A natural next step for young performers ready to build confidence, creativity, and teamwork! Summerstage for performers who have completed Second and Third Grade introduces students to the foundations of collaborative theater-making through guided improvisation, imaginative play, and hands-on exploration with Kidstock!’s professional teaching artists.
Each week begins with a destination-themed prompt from our Passport to Play season, associated with our parody title, inspiring students to invent characters, settings, and storylines through structured drama activities. Through guided improvisation and ensemble-based storytelling, the group builds an original performance together — discovering plot points, crafting dialogue aloud, and shaping scenes through their own ideas and creativity.
Daily workshops in drama, dance, art, and music help students stage their scenes, rehearse group choreography, and design props and scenery that bring the story to life. By Friday, performers share a joyful, imaginative presentation that reflects the collective creativity of the group — a story that grows from their voices, their characters, and their discoveries.
(Flexible single-day registration is available on select weeks; please note, single-day weeks will not include a final presentation.)
