ACT 5 Summer Mentorship Program for Grades 6–9
Do you want to work in the arts or education but you’re too young to apply for your first job? The Act 5 Summer Program is Kidstock!’s version of a Junior Counselor program, offering students the opportunity to explore theater and performing arts education alongside one of our professional Educational Artists! We’ll match you with a mentor and you’ll spend the week in a supportive role, leading activities and other responsibilities that match your interests and abilities.
All Act 5 Summer students must be able to participate in all five days of the week. There is no limit to how many weeks you can participate, but please note there are only 12 spots available each week for registration. Act 5 Summer students will meet each morning as a group with a senior staff advisor before connecting with their individual mentors for activities in drama, dance and art. They will then regroup midday for lunch as a team and prepare to serve in the afternoon as “recreational supervisors” at field with specific games and activities they have trained to be able to lead and monitor. They will close their day as a group with reflections and guidance from their senior staff advisor.
The Act 5 Summer Program is a unique summer opportunity for students interested in being a leader, educator, or director. Students are expected to be pleasant, kid-friendly, playful, responsible, respectful, and creative.
