I'm in Pre-K Age 4+
Best for ages 4+ going into Pre-K or Kindergarten
Our Summerstage program for Pre-K kids age 4 and up is designed to be a wonderful introduction for imaginative young minds to the excitement of being onstage, without the pressure!
Each day starts with a new storybook before students cycle in small groups to each of our specialists for an active learning experience and activities that continue the experiential dramatic play. Snack, lunch and outdoor structured activities complete our daily schedule.
Please note: Students participating in Kidstock! programs must be toilet trained and able to use the restroom independently without staff assistance.
I'm finishing Kindergarten or Grade 1
Best for kids going into Grade 1 or 2
The perfect first step into the world of theater and imagination! SummerStage for performers who have completed Kindergarten and First Grade introduces our youngest performers to the joy of storytelling, teamwork, and creative expression through play-based learning led by Kidstock!’s team of theater professionals and educators.
Each week students explore two stories and use their own ideas and imaginations to act out unique solutions and self-authored endings. The possibilities are endless as young actors take ownership of their stories and learn that every creative choice has value!
During this explorative process, children play multiple roles from the storybooks, developing empathy and understanding as they bring different characters to life. Through guided activities in drama, dance, art, and music, students strengthen teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills while experiencing the magic of collaborative creation.
Each week concludes with a joyful, one-of-a-kind presentation that celebrates the power of imagination — because at Kidstock!, every story ends happily and creatively ever after.
I'm finishing Grades 2 or 3
Best for kids going into Grades 3 and 4
A natural next step for young performers ready to build confidence, creativity, and teamwork! Summerstage for performers who have completed Second and Third Grade introduces students to the foundations of collaborative theater-making through guided improvisation, imaginative play, and hands-on exploration with Kidstock!’s professional teaching artists.
Each week begins with a destination or parody title, inspiring students to invent characters, settings, and storylines through structured drama activities. Through guided improvisation and ensemble-based storytelling, the group builds an original performance together — discovering plot points, crafting dialogue aloud, and shaping scenes through their own ideas and creativity.
Daily workshops in drama, dance, art, and music help students stage their scenes, rehearse group choreography, and design props and scenery that bring the story to life. By Friday, performers share a joyful, imaginative presentation that reflects the collective creativity of the group — a story that grows from their voices, their characters, and their discoveries.
I'm finishing Grades 4, 5, or 6
Best for students going into Grades 5–7
A deeper, more focused theater experience for developing performers! Summerstage for performers who have completed Fourth, Fifth or Sixth Grade builds on Kidstock!’s legacy of empowering students to take leadership in the creative process through collaboration, character development, and ensemble performance.
Each week begins with a scripted prompt inspired our destination or parody title. These scripts serve as a springboard — not a final product — giving students a structured starting point from which to personalize their lines, expand character arcs, and collaborate with peers to build a fully realized theatrical story. Performers contribute ideas, refine dialogue, and work with Kidstock!’s professional teaching artists to shape a cohesive, polished production.
Throughout the week, students rotate through drama, dance, art, and music workshops, applying their skills to staging scenes, rehearsing choreography, and designing the visual world of their play. By Friday, the ensemble presents a complete original performance that reflects both the structure of the script and the imagination of every actor — a uniquely Kidstock! production shaped by young artists at an exciting stage of their creative growth.

Why Choose Kidstock! for your Summer?
Thirty-five years later, we’re still creating!
Since 1992, summer at Kidstock! has been designed to create. We create memories, opportunities to grow, and experiences that help children become thoughtful, imaginative leaders. Our creative theater programs engage children of all ages in activities designed for their stage of development, giving every child room to contribute, connect, and grow.
Join us for individual days of exploration without a performance commitment, or spend a full week creating together, culminating in a welcoming family presentation that celebrates each child’s individuality and growth. Our focus is on the creative process and everything children discover along the way.
With individual days and one-week programs, Kidstock! fits around family vacations and summer plans. Children practice skills that reach far beyond the stage: solving problems, working together, respecting different ideas, expressing themselves with confidence, and discovering that there can be more than one right answer.
Every summer morning, we sing “Kidstock! Is an Awesome Place to Be,” reminding ourselves that “imagination is the key to unlock creativity.” Thirty-five years after our first slogan, “Just Create,” that spirit still starts every day.
